I don’t know wh…
I don’t know what to say really.
Three minutes
to the biggest battle of our professional lives
all comes down to today.
Either
we heal
as a team
or we are going to crumble.
Inch by inch
play by play
till we’re finished.
We are in hell right now, gentlemen
believe me
and
we can stay here
and get the shit kicked out of us
or
we can fight our way
back into the light.
We can climb out of hell.
One inch, at a time. Now I can’t do it for you.
I’m too old.
I look around and I see these young faces
and I think
I mean
I made every wrong choice a middle age man could make.
I uh….
I pissed away all my money
believe it or not.
I chased off
anyone who has ever loved me.
And lately,
I can’t even stand the face I see in the mirror. You know when you get old in life
things get taken from you.
That’s, that’s part of life.
But,
you only learn that when you start losing stuff.
You find out that life is just a game of inches.
So is football.
Because in either game
life or football
the margin for error is so small.
I mean
one half step too late or to early
you don’t quite make it.
One half second too slow or too fast
and you don’t quite catch it.
The inches we need are everywhere around us.
They are in ever break of the game
every minute, every second. On this team, we fight for that inch
On this team, we tear ourselves, and everyone around us
to pieces for that inch.
We CLAW with our finger nails for that inch.
Cause we know
when we add up all those inches
that’s going to make the fucking difference
between WINNING and LOSING
between LIVING and DYING.I’ll tell you this
in any fight
it is the guy who is willing to die
who is going to win that inch.
And I know
if I am going to have any life anymore
it is because, I am still willing to fight, and die for that inch
because that is what LIVING is.
The six inches in front of your face. Now I can’t make you do it.
You gotta look at the guy next to you.
Look into his eyes.
Now I think you are going to see a guy who will go that inch with you.
You are going to see a guy
who will sacrifice himself for this team
because he knows when it comes down to it,
you are gonna do the same thing for him. That’s a team, gentlemen
and either we heal now, as a team,
or we will die as individuals.
That’s football guys.
That’s all it is.
Now, whattaya gonna do?

Beautiful written and motivational!
Second Interview
Nice to say that I’m at my second interview
I presented today the projects of the association (Association of Francophone Students from Iași) I’m in, for the second time, prowdly sustaining my friends in the interview. The emotions of the first one somehow flew through my muscles and I relived a infirm part of the talk, having just a little bit of the tension from it.
Entering the stage
I first met the person who was going to interview me who was ok, then I went into the building to meet with the director of the studio. We made a plan for the show and, remembering the first interview at TVR1, I became a little bit nervous. But I said to myself it’s going to be ok and I started thinking about the people who inspired me along my life. I said to myself: “I have done it once, I’m just going to get better!”. I started talking about the projects in the association. I was good with it, positive and it all went well.
Camera, movie, action
When I entered the room I felt a little breeze going through my muscles, I kept moving. While I steel was sitting, I was confortable, but when someone began arraging my mic, I started thinking about the emotions I had in my first interview, which could make me start losing it. That would mean demotivating myself with the negative toughts, not making others to get involved in our projects, in our activities. I then thought about the people who inspired me, once again, took a deep breath and regained my calm and my control. I started actively participating at the conversation, determined by that thought and the possibility to represent my association in the interview, proudly presenting the project, in which, most of the time, I took part of. The conversation went my way, a good review was given to the association and the projects.
Take action
Even if it’s not the moment, even if you don’t always feel confortable in that position, you must man up and start taking action, start motivating yourself. Think of who is inspiring you, write it down, adress them, look fear in the eyes and confront it. Don’t let it make you fall apart. Stay motivated.
Determination
You might need a little bit of encouragement, a little bit of momentum, a little bit of power to contiune with what you are doing. You might need something to drive you, to make you follow what only you are following. Not being determined will make you quit and you won’t get what you want.
Do not!
Don’t let anyone move you from your vision, don’t let anyone disturb what you want to do or what you want to achieve, bit by bit, element by element, detail by detail. Do not second-guess about things, it will make you distracted, you won’t get yourself where you want. You will not get full potential of what you want to achieve. You will fail to get yourself pleased by what you accomplish, you might even let others down while you do not concentrate and strive on what you want. Do not quit, quitting is for losers. You do not want half of what’s important for you, you do not want just a part of what is ment for you, you want all of it. Don’t let others dictate what you want, don’t work for others, don’t think for others, do it for yourself.
Solution
Decide what you want! Make a decision on what you want, get hungry with it, with your passion, find it, breath it, eat it and when you think you’re done, do it again! Find the right motivation that makes you stay in the race, that makes you battle with everyone and everything trying to stop you and makes you want to win! Breathe your vision, your image of the achievement, the image of you accomplishing what you want to do, if it getting a new car, getting a new job, getting a new life, see it, incorporate it in you, start acting like you really want it, like nobody can stop you from getting it, decide you won’t quit even if the most awful things happen to you and you will succeed!
“I’ll tell you this
in any fight
it is the guy who is willing to die
who is going to win that inch” – Al Pacino, Inch by inch – Any given sunday!
Now get it done!
Writte down what you want to get, make a list of 10-15 things you want to achieve over a year. Write your motivation, your “Why?”, make it bigger and better everytime you think about your goal. Start listening to motivational speeches, you might think it’s a waste of time but repeatedly doing it will start making you determined and driven by with you purpose. Start going to seminars, motivation is right around the corner. Take action!
Gentlemen Principles
How to setle as a gentleman
The gentleman is often overlooked in our times, in the contemporary, few know the right attitude of being a gentleman. But the character and the principles of a gentleman still stand out and stand strong within most of men.
The Gentleman of the Past
The gentleman of the past is recognized by his upstaying position, his straight backbone, his up-showing nose, his often smiling face, natural movement of his body and pleasing ability to comunicate with people, verbal and non-verbal, showing grattitude and chivalry. A very common ability of a past gentleman is his attitude for the unknown people, also known as character, that has a substantially different aproach, other then the modern Gentleman.
Open and polite with new people whom he has never met, the Gentlemen of the Past is showing his positivism in bringing the unkwon person in his life, seeking and pointing out the good and respectfully showing the negative behaviour in not so well manered people. Concentrating in showing the positive aspects, he is equally patient and calculated when in a fight, standing up for what he believes, for what he desires.
A good example of a Past Gentleman is shown in The Counte Of Monte Cristo, where the ingenious little boy, the captain’s right hand, Edmond Dantes, proves his potential, becoming one of the most respected gentlemen in Paris and known in the whole world. Going through different obstacles, he keeps his calm and respects the gentlemen’s code, even if his intentions are not good-oriented, adapting the code to his actuals need, to manipulate others.
Contemporary Gentleman
The contemporary gentleman is not so open oriented when comming to new people in his life. He’s being much more restrained when coming to allowing unkwon people in his life, being cold and rigid in his approach. He is more egocentric, concentrating all of the attention on himself, his character mostly missing the warm approach in what means new persons. He is not lacking the attitude of a gentleman, but he’s more egoistic than the “past” gentleman and is more reserved to according joy to others, even tought he’s respecting others in a well manered way. He’s attitute is cold and severe, but it’s there and he’s not missing it.
Yet, in the world there are exceptions when coming to… mostly everything. And looking at Justin Timberlake, whom I consider to be one of the “modern” gentlemen, open and polite, saying his point of view and standing out for it, I can say he is one of the most successful contemporary gentleman in every aspect. Despite his sexual oriented themes in his songs, he’s behaviour reflects the character of a good man, respectful, with strong principels, never backing up, commited and keeping his word. Big acts, little gestures is what defines the attitude of a gentleman, Justin doing them every time he can, even for an unknown person.
The contemporary gentleman simply looks more rigid than the “past”one, yet there are plenty of examples in our time that can contrast with the regular type, proving the contrary.

Quand je me promenais, dans…
